Counselor Evaluation

Counselors may be evaluated in two ways. Evaluations of a teaching situation are separate from appointment evaluations.

  • Faculty Evaluation as an instructor in a classroom setting
      • For Instructor evaluations please refer to the applicable page.

(Tenured, Adjunct, or Contract Faculty Evaluation)

  • Faculty Evaluation as a counselor in an advising setting
      • Faculty in a Counseling situation shall be observed for a minimum of 50 min.
      • The appropriate Peer and Manager components shall apply.
      • The student component is supplied to the department at the beginning of the semester. It shall be the responsibility of the department to request students scheduled for an advising appointment to complete an evaluation after their appointment.
      • Evaluations shall be collected and stored in a secure, confidential area until such time a minimum of 25 scantrons have been collected; at which time they shall be delivered to the Faculty Evaluations Office for processing.
